You know, REH and Conan in particular, had such an effect on D&D, not to mention its players that its pretty weird to think that Howard sadly didn’t make it within decades of D&D’s emergence.
I never met the gent but I sort of had the feeling he would have dug the whole fantasy role-playing thing.
