Kind of feel like the Hill Country is going through the apocalypse right now, to be honest.

That said, way back in the before times, I used to be a US Senate aide. We would occasionally (usually over drinks after a long day (or week) at the office) start signing "I'm just a Bill".

Singing the preamble to the constitution song in my head got me an A on a test. :D

Thanks for this! Is there any modern day equivalent to Schoolhouse Rock? I could swear they did a reboot, but outside of that?

Jonathan Coulton did some shorts that were very much in the style of SR for the show The Good Fight. His “Nobody’s Above the Law” is a good place to start if you haven’t seen it.

They DID try a revival in the 90’s if I remember correctly but it had none of the charm and crashed horribly.

"I'm just a Bill" had the wonderful Jack Sheldon doing the vocals (he was also the train in "Conjunction Junction"). I best remember him as the trumpet player in the Mort Lindsay orchestra on the Merv Griffin afternoon talk show, where he'd trade quips with Merv. He was also an actor, doing some Petticoat Junction, Dragnet, and an episode of Star Trek Next Gen.

I loved his voice. All of the folks who performed Schoolhouse Rock were multi-talented.

Of course! There was a Grammar rock she sang on, as well.
