Lorrie & I are enjoying Leverage: Redemption. The cartoonish/camp elements have softened the original Leverage's slick execution (which I loved) allowing it to now be a familiar comfort food with characters we like. Taking down the cartoon baddies is just a bonus. The emphasis on personal growth within the show is an interesting choice. It adds some needed seriousness, and makes the take-down of the week format less about how they did it (a key to the original) and more about what they learned from it. That works for me. Also, it has added a new rule to the grand list of Universal Wisdom: Do NOT mess with Parker's family. I need to check out SEVERANCE. Your second season description intrigues me. Ciao for now from The Futures Nexus.
Leverage is our new Mission: Impossible. The new iteration is simultaneously more relaxed and more high stakes.
If you are not watching Severence, give the first three eps a try when you have the time. It’s really good. But it’s a slow burn, at least for the first half of season one.
Who’s having surgery?? That’s not where you said we were going!!!
Relax, we’ll go for ice cream after…
