My better half has roped me into watching Yellowstone, and after seeing about, oh I don't know, 647 million ads for this, I was turned off. Knowing that Walton Goggins & Michael Shannon are in it? That gets it back in the running.
Shannon might not look like Jones, but he's far enough from Walt Thrombey territory that I didn't know it was him until reading this.
Again, this is a correct response, the only one I'll allow amongst right thinking people. Goggins is a national treasure, and Michael Shannon is one of the most interesting actors to watch, ever, period. I was never a George Jones fan (respected, sure, but not someone I'd reach out for in times of crisis like Willie Nelson), but it's these actors that will save the day on this project. Guaranteed.
Seems like Jessica Chastain is trying to corner the market on Tammy roles.
