I agree, it's baffling to me.
Agree 100% about Discovery and Picard. Having watched ALL episodes of both, I already prefer SNW. The others are an exercise in perseverance. Not fun.

How would you compare Oldman in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" vs. "Slow Horses"?
Slow Horses has a much more brisk pace and a real cynical bite to it. This is Oldman off the chain, about as far away from TTSS and Churchill as you can get.
The novels that Slow Horses are based on a pretty good, too. Well worth searching out.
