I cannot tell you how much I agree with you on this issue. I had an aunt who made the best chocolate cakes I've ever had, and she knew full well of my hatred of nuts in cake. And yet, when making a cake for me, she'd always put a few pecans on top as "decoration" thinking it's easy for me to remove them. Which I would, but damn, what perverse demonic infestation forced you to put nuts on it knowing my aversion? I don't understand people who think EVERYTHING has to have something hard added to it for "texture."
Alas, I must inform you that those of us with full dentures can indeed, and often do, bite ice cream. We can also swish it around in our mouths with nits and have no problems. Even so, I avoid nuts for medical/intestinal issues.
My dad made homemade caramel every year for the holidays and would intentionally add walnuts to an entire batch rendering it uneatable.
That’s just mean!

More and more people are coming around to our way of thinking.

I'm right there with you. I don't mind crunchy, but jeez Louise, variety is supposed to be the spice of life.

And I dearly love cashews!
I am a cashew man, myself.
